You need to just relax now. Don’t over think things. Mother Nature will take her course.. No need to milk her out. Just make sure all 4 quarters are working correctly.

IF you intend to calf share (which I do not recommend, but some people prefer) – The calf will go to the same teat 95% of the time. While calf is nursing ya might strip out some milk to save if you think you might need it…

If ya just want to milk once a day, no sense bringing her into her milk real fast. Take it slow, breathe and enjoy the calf…. sometimes it is 4 or 5 days before I milk the cow out. Sometimes a week before I strip her empty.
